Our Story
Celebrating over 10 years of empowering and supporting
military spouses!
Founder, president & CEO Verenice Castillo’s first experience leaving her home was at the age of 16 when her family immigrated from Mexico to the United States. When she married her husband Tony, now an Air Force Retiree, Verenice had to move again as her husband was stationed from place to place.
After years of struggling to build camaraderie within the military spouse community, Verenice saw the opportunity to be a mentor to fellow military spouses so that they would know they were not alone. As her vision grew, Verenice officially established the Military Spouse Advocacy Network 501(c)(3) nonprofit with the mission to educate, empower, and support military spouses from day one.
Today, Military Spouse Advocacy Network has served thousands of spouses from every branch of service. In support of Verenice’s mission, we continue to provide mentorship and training to new military spouses, post 9/11 veteran and retiree spouses, Gold Star spouses, surviving spouses, and caregivers. No spouse left behind.
